A rare and attractive stater of Onasiokos from Paphos

CYPRUS. Paphos. Onasiokos, circa 400 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 11.11 g, 3 h). 𐠙𐠃 ('O-na' in Cypriot syllabic script) Bull standing left; above, winged solar disk; to left, ankh-like symbol. Rev. Eagle flying left; to left, astragalos; all within incuse square. BMC pl. XXII, 2. SNG Copenhagen -. Tziambazis -. Rare. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die and with a test cut on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
